Dear 2020 Graduating Senior Athlete,
I want to say congratulations on your accomplishment of graduating from college. As bittersweet as this time might be, this accomplishment is the beginning to an amazing future. To those who play spring sports and were about to ramp up for the long-haul, I want you to know that I feel for you. To those that play winter sports and spring sports who had their championship opportunities stripped from them, I can't imagine how you're doing; but, I want to let you know that I feel for you. To teams that had dreams of standing alone at the top of their respective sports and are feeling down, I want to let you know you that I am feeling for you. I want you to know that even though the season came to an abrupt halt, your legacies will not. Your lore will live on as the teams that could've been and that will outlive how you feel right now. As we look forward to what the future has for us, I hope that you can look back on your time as athletes at your respective institutions with fond memories. Whether you spent all four years in the same place, transferred in from junior college or another school, or spent just one season at your institution, I hope the time you spent their was worthwhile. While this is just a small note, I hope that you know you've made a huge impact on your coaches, administrators, teammates, professors, and fans. You brought them to their feet and gave them something to cheer about. All and all, I want you to know that despite how this season ended, you are still destined for greatness.
Best Regards,
James Hadnot
